Room Reservations

You must register for the conference before reserving your room at Camden on the Lake.  A group code will be sent to you via email once your conference registration has been received.  The room rate is $135 per night.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations will be accepted ONLY if received before July 1, 2021 and will be subject to a $50 administrative charge. Any cancellations not received by July 1 will be charged the entire fee.

Josh Varner - Social Worker, Fulton Public Schools

Two out of every three people in the United States are impacted by a traumatic event.  When people experience trauma or an extremely stressful situation, it's normal and natural for them to have a hard time coping afterwards. I'm passionate about teaching people how to support individuals impacted by trauma.

During this session participants will learn:
1.  Learn how many students are impacted by childhood trauma and how to identify them.
2. Learn how the brain and body respond to trauma and how that impacts student behavior.
3.  Leave with a "Call to Action" and be equipped with many specific tools that are easy to use to support their students.

SIGNING the Song – You Have Changed My Life!

Through American Sign Language paired with singing, “SIGNing the Song” shares the story of a boy who grew up in a deaf household with little exposure to TV, Radio, or Movies. Because of his incredible 8th grade music teacher and the love and support of his parents, he came out of his silent world and discovered his voice through music. Watch how ASL and song lyrics meld together into a beautiful unique art form. This show celebrates the incredible impact educators and parents have on each child’s life… regardless of their struggles.
