Session #2 – The Power of Lasting Impressions:  First Impressions and Decision Making

First impressions are made up of 7% of the words you say, 38% of the voice tone you use and 55% of non-verbal behavior.  Adding to this to the fact that you make hundreds of decisions a day can lead to either amazing or disastrous perceptions regarding you as a leader.     In this session you will discover how the hidden powers of communication and decision making can impact your leadership.  From first impressions to lasting decisions, you must become aware of how your body language, communication style and the way you make decisions impacts others.

Julie Sperry – St. Louis Area Leadership Facilitator

Session #3 – Effective Meetings

Meetings are an effective way to bring people together to increase communication, effectiveness, collaboration, and achieve results.  Leadership is an investment in people.  Putting effort into planning and running each of your meetings is one way to show value and respect for your stakeholders and their time.

Your first meetings as a leader are key to a great start.  During this session, participants will investigate components of effective meetings and will generate ideas for planning your first meetings as a building leader.
