Opening Keynote
Josh Varner

Josh Varner is a trauma informed speaker and author with a PASSION for helping individuals and schools to support students who have been impacted by childhood trauma.  Josh has presented over 300 high energy, informative, interactive presentations to audiences all over the country.  Along with speaking Josh has been a mental health professional, school counselor and coordinated an at-risk student program. Josh has experience in the classroom working with traumatized students and knows what will work for educators. 


Closing Keynote
Johna-Kaye Sutton

Mrs. Johna-Kaye Sutton, a dedicated educator based in Kansas City, Missouri,  with a strong dedication to cultivating educational success for all. Born and raised in central Missouri from a family of educators, she carries on a proud legacy of commitment to the field. Currently serving as Principal at Siegrist Elementary in the Platte County R-3 School District, Mrs. Sutton brings a leadership style honed through diverse roles including classroom teacher, instructional coach, district coordinator, and Board of Education Member.

Believing deeply in the power of education, Mrs. Sutton considers working in the field to be the best job in the world. She is a firm advocate for the transformative potential of teamwork in creating positive outcomes for both students and communities. Mrs. Sutton believes in creating spaces where all feel seen, valued, and heard, fostering environments conducive to growth and learning.

Residing in Kansas City for over 25 years with her husband and two sons, Mrs. Sutton is rooted in the community she serves. Her ultimate goal is to cultivate a learning environment where every student can thrive and succeed, and to continually inspire and empower educators and staff to reach new levels of excellence in their profession.

Chad Sutton

With 25 years of invaluable experience in education, Dr. Sutton's journey—from teacher and coach to building and central office administrator—epitomizes a lifelong dedication to nurturing the potential of every student.

Growing up in a household where both parents dedicated their lives to education, including a mother who served as an administrative professional for over two decades, Dr. Sutton's passion for educational excellence runs deep in his veins. This familial influence instilled in him a profound respect for the crucial role administrative professionals play in the intricate tapestry of school administration.

Drawing from his wealth of experience, he shares insights into connecting with your purpose and creating environments where every student feels a sense of belonging—an endeavor that requires the collective effort of the entire school staff.

With unwavering enthusiasm and a genuine passion for cultivating inclusive school cultures, Dr. Sutton empowers educators with practical strategies and inspirational anecdotes to elevate their roles as catalysts for creating positive and supportive learning communities.


Cancellation Policy
Cancellations will be accepted ONLY if received before June 24, 2024 and will be subject to a $50 administrative charge. Any cancellations not received by June 24 will be charged the entire fee.
